Le numéro 680 de « Charlie Hebdo », paru mercredi, est historique. Le contenu est intact : les traits d'esprit et les traits tout courts de la gazette fondée par Cavanna et sa bande de pieds nickelés sont toujours aussi irrévérencieux et acerbes pour les Chirac, Le Pen, Sarko et autres Villepin. Non, pas de révolution (si ce n'est de gauche) éditoriale à l'horizon. Ce mercredi, « Charlie Hebdo » conservait sa ligne dure. Il était juste un peu plus épais que d'habitude. Surtout pour ses lecteurs belges... Pour la première fois, en effet, une publication bien de chez nous était encartée dans le « Charlie Hebdo » mis en vente dans les kiosques belges. Le supplément gratuit en question se décrit comme étant « un journal jovial, crédule, saugrenu mais outrecuidant ». Depuis dix ans, ses feuilles trimestrielles sont bien connues - et redoutées du pouvoir en place - entre Haine et Trouille, soit grosso modo du Borinage à la région du Centre. « El Batia moûrt soû », qui signifie en patois « le bateau ivre » (référence à Arthur Rimbaud), est un périodique impertinent qui fait lui aussi la part belle aux dessins moqueurs et aux commentaires insolents. Les deux publications étaient faites pour se rencontrer. Et ne comptez pas sur Serge Poliart, le fondateur du « Batia », pour se plaindre de l'accord intervenu. J'ai été le premier surpris, confesse-t-il. J'envoyais des exemplaires du « Batia » chez « Charlie Hebdo » au cas où. Comme je le fais aussi avec « Le Canard enchaîné », d'ailleurs. Sans me douter un instant que cela déboucherait sur une collaboration comme celle-là. « Charlie Hebdo » était à la recherche d'une publication belge ayant le même esprit frondeur pour relancer ses ventes en Belgique. Et, pour nous, c'est une bien belle reconnaissance que de se retrouver dans leurs pages. Pour le petit trimestriel édité depuis Ville-sur-Haine, l'aubaine était belle. Et tant pis pour les frais supplémentaires que cela engendre. La pub en vaut la chandelle. Il a fallu adapter notre tirage. Des 1.500 « Batia » habituels, on est passé à 3.700 exemplaires. Mais c'est juste une rame de papier en plus, se marre Serge Poliart. Vacances obligent, le prochain « Batia » qui viendra alourdir la pagination de « Charlie Hebdo » sortira le mercredi 28 septembre. D'autres feuillets seront enchâssés encore courant octobre. Et, le 25 novembre, le « Batia » qui fête ses dix ans d'existence à Mons pourra compter sur la présence de trois rédacteurs de « Charlie Hebdo », dont Charb qui a confirmé sa venue.
