De ces poèmes qu'elle commença à écrire en 1926, « selon sa stricte volonté, un seul, Ave, a été publié de son vivant dans la NRF du 1er décembre 1929 » 27. Le dernier, Nyx (« la nuit » en grec), composé « d’un trait », le 5 novembre 1934 « un mois avant de mourir, est inspiré par un sonnet de Louise Labé, elle aussi « de Lyon et d'Italie », à qui il est dédié.
